  • AIP's vision is to connect investors to deal flow, and promoters to partners/financing providers, particularly in energy and related infrastructure: oilfield & energy services, project management, capital advisory & project finance. We enable “local content”, partnering with foreign investors to provide solutions to energy deficiency and improving ESG performance, in Sub-Saharan Africa. We have participated in oil & gas field development, offgrid and hybrid solar projects, power infrastructure, broadband and telecoms infrastructure. We aim to provide, intelligence-intensive, asset-light strategies to unlock energy solutions across the entire energy value chain.

Investing in technology-enabled entrepreneurial start-ups with impact

We are angel investors providing seed capital to founders in technology enabled services and solutions that have sustainable positive impact on livelihoods, especially in underserved communities and customers. Target segments include:

  • Start-ups in fintech that deepen financial inclusion by providing credit to previously excluded target markets, or use technologies like blockchain to facilitate access, improve security and transparency to financial services; agtech that incorporates sustainable practices and improves global food security; energy services and solutions that supply to energy deficient communities and countries, and explore renewable technologies doing so; technologies that deepen broadband connectivity penetration in rural and remote areas; technologies like SAAS or other platforms that expand healthcare access; technologies and solutions that reduce housing construction costs hence improving housing affordability
  • We seek partners, venture capitalists, corporate venture offices, impact investors to co-invest in projects with us and our founders/entreprenuers where we may be lead investors, typically in sponsoring gateway technology solutions to development challenges whether in fintech, financial inclusion, and business models, providing technology-enabled solutions to problems faced by underserved communities and the bottom billion, particularly in Africa
  • In short, we are impact investors who link investors to opportunities and founders, to improve the quality of lives of underserved people everywhere.
